GH2 - Using lens w/ adapters, NO vignetting

Hi all! First time poster, long time reader!

I've trolled the gh2 forums to no avail, so decided to start a new thread. I am a new-ish (1 month) gh2 user, love the camera, hate the lens selection and bloated prices presently. I bought a cheap c-mount adapter and cheap 1.1:4 tv zoom lens on ebay, have been using it with some luck in 1:1 ETC crop mode, but it's anything BUT sharp.

My question is what lenses out there will not show the vignette outside the 1:1 mode? I suspect Canon EF? I have a few Canon EF/EF-S lenses, and I know I'll have to go with that Kipon adapter for iris control (which I have no idea where to buy, Kipon's site sucks but may be bc viewing in Google Chrome) as Birger will seemingly never release their hella-expensive ultra-adapter.

Or what about some cheaper retro primes? Ala FD, Nikon, or even C-mount primes? Again, no vignette is the goal.

Thanks all!! :violin:

Any lens intended for 35mm cameras or even APS-C should have no vignetting. I recommend high quality vintage primes actually, much smoother focus rings than even the HSM/USM modern AF lenses. Although, the distance from the sensor to lens will cause vignetting when aperture is stopped down in the lens.

C-mounts are tiny lenses, it will alway be hard to focus and avoid vignetting with them.

Unless you want to dabble with c-mount lens, you don't have to worry about vignetting.
