So since I finally have my own GH2 I have been shooting a lot more side by side and the best way I can put it is that the GH2 looks more 'strobey orange' than the GH13.
I notice the GH2, unlike the GH1, is still in some sort of auto mode when in movie mode as if it were in the Ai and you started shooting on the GH13.... how do you turn this off? The camera I was playing with before had it off and I was manually setting the iris and shutter and locking them.. this seems to still be changing though I THINK I am in manual mode.... the other camera I had access to didn't do this so whoever set it up turned it off. It looks like it's increasing the shutter speed on its own. I have to see if I can really make the cameras match or if I am going to stay GH13 fully or make the jump to hacked GH2 fully and so far... I am still liking my GH13 footage over the GH2 for but this is just stock I have to hack the GH2... but I am speaking of motion cadence and general color tone.
The GH2 looks more digital video so far even when I am turning sharpness all the way down. When I white balance both cams on the same card the GH2 always seems to have a tint more yellow / orange to it than the GH13. Almost like I have a light yellow tinted filter screwed on.
