This has been discussed, but I would like to have clear confirmation that these are regular issues with all GH2 cameras:
1) A shutter related dark horizontal area/line up from ISO 1250 in all flilm/video modes located in the lower third of the image.
It is visible fom shutter 50 and will jump higher in the image when shutter is raised. Most visible in dark or/and saturated areas.
Can easily be seen with high Isos.
It is gone with shutter 25. Almost usable workaround, because I do not see any difference in motion judder from 50 to 25 in slow pans. But still annoing being forced
to shoot at 25, especially in bright light. Does every GH-2 owner exprerience that problem?
2) Dark areas horizontally aligned with bright areas. Ie. the famous shot agains a bright window. The area of a wall between two windows will be darker, matching the window heights.
This effect is Iso inindependent, even with ISO 160 and a correct aperture corresponding to the windows without blown highlights.
In comparison my CCD-based Canon XH-A1 drom 2005 does not show this effect at all.
Also a fault to live with any GH2, or do some users get clean pictures in those situations?
If we have to live with it, I would send my GH2 back for a refund. If at least one of the faults does not appear on every GH2, I would give a swap or repair a try.
Firmware btw is 1.0. No hack.
Thanks for your help,
All the best,
