GH2 Monitor Recommendations

Im finding I have a need for a larger monitor for my GH2
Im shooting video indoors and having a hard time accurately getting walls and doors etc square with frame edges

My requirements are likely less stringent than most but I dont really know what I am looking for or how they connect, HDMI port?
what sort of batteries they use, expect usage of around an hour a day

I shoot 16x9 if thats important

TIA

I have the Lilliput 5DII/O/P with peaking, zebras, etc. It's cheap on Amazon and connects via an HDMI cable. The resolution is definitely good enough for critical focus even without peaking.

I use this monitor. Because of its high 1280x800 resolution it is excellent for focusing (and that’s even without using it’s built in focus peaking assist function). It comes at a great price also (I’ve seen itas low as $210 in recent months). Recently, to get this type of resolution in a monitor one would have to spend close to $1,000. It has both HDMI and BNC connections. The following is a short spec list:

Resolution: 1280(H) x 800 (V)
Dot Pitch: 0.05(H) x 0.15 (V)
Display Ratio: 16:9/ 4:3 / Full Screen
Contrast: 500:1
Monitor Size: L 148x H 119 x D 26 mm
Weight: 450g

It also comes with a sun shade hood.

BTW don’t mind the "one" mediocre review of it on Amazon. The aspect ratio issues it had was supposedly fixed through a firmware release. I bought mine before that took place. But it’s a non-issue for me.

If you plan to mount the monitor on the camera for shoulder rig work you might like that 5" version. For a director monitor you would probably want something larger.

Does that mean it shows the proper 1280 x 720, with black bars top and bottom, instead of 'stretching' the image out to fill the improper 1280 x 800 screen?
