GH2 Mic input problem

Hello,
The mic input in my GH2 doesn't seem to work. I got the Hosa 2.5mm adapter, but the camera doesn't recognize that the jack is inserted.
Could it be a physical problem?
Any idea would be much appreciated.

Sometimes, the little plastic cover gets in the way, make sure it is fully inserted, you should then see a microphone icon on the top right and a message saying to check the mic is powered on.

If nothing appears, I hate to say it, but you may be facing a problem with your GH2.

I suspect it is the cable connector. I had to shave the sides of mine so it would insert all the way in... Al
