they got some in 2 weeks in a row so i would check back next week. you can follow them on facebook as well and they update that regularly.
 
For those of you still looking, it looks like Abel will get some in soon. From an email they just sent me:

"Thanks for writing. I do not currently have any Panasonic GH2's in stock at the moment. We are supposed to receive our next batch sometime this week, but we do not have an exact ETA right now. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you'd like me to notify you when they are actually in stock. Thanks again!"
 
Man... it's so amazing that it's still out of stock so many places and when it comes it, bang they are gone in a few hours... Keep the faith all and it's a fabulous camera...


I've also had some really nice surprises with the footage and I've not regretted this camera for a second... It matches so well with the AF100 and I use it more often due to its compact size and the stealth factor... I also think that using some old vintage cheap lenses is a good start so you can really keep the cost down...

I also saw monsters the other day and that was shot with the EX3 and the Letus. I have no doubt our GH2 could do that and what an inspirational movie... Done for 15k and easily looks like it was 3 million.. A super fabulous film...
 
I just spoke to Panasonic on the phone, and they said the shipment would arrive later today (at their end). On the other hand, I was told two weeks two months ago.
I just hope it doesn't glow in the dark.

That's great news. As for the glowing, wouldn't they be shipping from China? I would imagine the parts had already left Japan and were either already in or were headed to China way before the quake.
 
FUKUSHIMA factory for Lumix products is closed and area is radioactice zone now, PANA have to build new Lumix production zones in other areas, nobody would buy radioactive GH2 or others. Think, big problems for delivery next months,
get your GH2 , Lens or whatever now! Prices are raising.

Dude, I've been waiting for months and stalking this thread like you wouldn't believe. I just happened to write on their Facebook wall today and geeked out when I got the heads up message back from them. I bought it first and asked my wife second...... Ships tomorrow though! Bad ass!

Just a head's up for the EPP folks. I placed my order on 1/5/2011 and today my bank account is showing a pending withdrawal from Panasonic. :thumbsup:

I think you got the last one. I went back to check about 30 minutes ago and it was back on order. I'm really curious how many they had total. But congrats on your new purchase :) Now I've gotta go watch those DIY Battery mods. I have a feeling I'm going to want at least one insane battery rig to help this puppy out.
 
Dang, I missed it, and I was just on the phone with Kenmore Sunday afternoon.

However, some good news, I went the Panasonic-VIP-Facebook store route and ordered a body-only there...for just over $700 HOLY CRAP. I just hope it ships by the 25th as Alana said. I'm somewhat skeptical myself, but I'm trying to remain hopeful. At that price though, I could certainly afford to wait a little while!
 
On Saturday morning my girlfriend tells me that since my birthday is coming up she would like to pay for half of my GH2. I immediately logged onto this thread and saw that Kenmore had them in stock. A couple of phone calls later I was the proud owner of a black 14-42 kit. Shipped on Saturday via USPS and it arrived to Bay Area, California on Monday afternoon. Big thanks to Kenmore and to this thread! I'll continue to keep an eye out and post if I see it anywhere.

Hi Buddy, Could you please eplain in detail how to do that. Trying to get hold of GH2, seems like a difficult thing to do:)

I think if I read that Panasonic message correctly, they ones that were existing preorders (ie from January on) would ship by the 25th. I took it at that any new orders would still have a delay to them. Though if it does ship by the 25th at that price then you win!
