Does anybody know when PD is going to send out bodys?

Emailed them today and they said they didn't know and to check back 3-4 weeks from now to see if they have any info by then. WTF? How can other people get stock but panasonic themselves can't.

PD is getting stock and they're sending it to retailers first, long standing orders a distant second. They recently got a big shipment, so I figured I was going to get a camera (12/31/2010 order date) but no. They said probably next shipment. So I jumped ship and found a body only for the same price as PD. I'm hoping it arrives tomorrow.

Man.. this camera is still out of stock and hard to fine. Either it's selling like hotcakes or Panasonic isn't matching the demand. Either way... it's worth the wait, but I've had mine over two months now. Unique Photo were great to deal with. First experience but a positive one.

I think we have a winner

Just got my gh2 charged last night and had a chance to get used to the menus. Not too difficult really after dealing with GH1 menus. I must say that I hooked it up to my 37" Samsung and tried a few different lenses and I was really impressed with the images. I will also say that HDMI out live is worth its weight in gold. Can't wait to get this all rigged with an external monitor and start shooting. How can you beat this camera for the price? Pretty amazing!

I gotta say, for people like me who are buying their first serious "DSLR" camera, it stings to see that the T3i (which was just announced in the first week of February) is already widely available:

I don't need anyone to convince me why a GH2 is better than a T3i, I know both cameras well. I'm just saying that this wait has been intensely lame.

Lol, seeing this thread reminded my that I ordered a GH2 from PD back in mid-December. I was guessing Feb-Mar, maybe it will be April instead...

Try Foto Care, my second GH2 is coming tomorrow from them. I think they still have a couple in stock!

That is what they were saying in the thread, But who knows at this point. I heard that B&H is getting some in the next two weeks. I would recommend looking around at some of the smaller shops like foto care because less people will look there for the camera so there is a higher chance that it will be in stock.
