GH2 in stock thread

Do anyone know if pan direct got silver body in stock? I have order since dec 20 for black body - silver okay too if I come faster.

Half the time they end up charging you later on when they balance the books though
 
Today panasonic call me. Lady said my gh1 that I order febrary 1 is no more stack. Then she tell me my gh2 black body that I order dec 20 is backorder. No stack either. She say no idea about eta but she will call me for update. Her name is liz. I am so frustrate now. I like to smoke her.
 
I'm considering a GH2 over the AF100 for some interviews to be shot at the end of the month. What are the chances that I can be guaranteed to get a GH2 w/ 14-140 in my hands by say, the 25th?
 
Hi. Ophot when did you ordered your gh2 from adaroma? I am hearing some rumor that new shipment of gh2 will come now? Omg!

Wow. I hope this is simply a language barrier. In common english vernacular to smoke someone means to kill them lol
 
Hi guys! I just came from Samy's Santa Ana,CA and I saw that they have several GH2s in stock. Look for Ken, he'd be happy to assist you
 
FYI, I ordered a black 14-140mm kit from ProVantage around 10pm on 1/31 (~$1350 USD, no tax, $7 ground shipping), and it shipped out from PA on 2/7 to arrive in NJ today (2/9), as confirmed by FedEx tracking (though it hasn't arrived at my office as of 1:30pm).

Note that although it shipped 2/7, I didn't receive shipment confirmation and tracking # until this morning.

Time to take my name off the waiting list at Unique Photo - put myself down there for a black body (priced at ~$760) middle of January, and still no updates (it was backordered for an unknown amount of time back then).

It seems like the in stock status at J&R is changing; Shortly after submitting my order I saw the black 14-140mm kit went back to being Temporarily Unavailable, but is now currently being shown to being in stock. Either they got more in, people's cards have been declined, or that's an error.
 
I immediately ordered online from J&R after seeing gymnut's post. It said in stock on web page, but my invoice said not in stock. I called J&R and asked for clarification. They said wait til tomorrow and call, but I just checked my banking, and I've been billed by J&R.
Anyone dealt with J&R before? Do they wait til shipping to bill you? Are they decent to work with?
 
Check this out, I ordered from Thr Price Pros yesterday, through Amazon.
called them 0ne minute after the order to check they actually had the item in stock and was assured it was.

Today, they send me an email, cancelling my order. Their completley unjustified excuse, they NEVER had the gh2 in stock yesterday, it was a mismatched item number.

I passed on 5 other places that had it yesterday, all gone.

So I have threatened the Price Pros that I will personally bash their name whereever posssible. Consider this blow one.
Don't waste your time with these bufoons.

I ordered from J&R after you via Amazon. Early this afternoon received shipping confirm from Amazon, then early evening (here in Arizona 4:30pm) received confirm from J&R with tracking #. My guess is your's is ahead of mine.

Good luck. It has been a long wait hasn't it?

I've got my fingers crossed, Dan.
A long wait? Yes and no. I have been watching GH2 threads and videos on Vimeo for months now, downloading clips, putting them through the ringers in Vegas and Final Cut, researching Micro 4/3rds... endlessly. Decided finally last week that it was time to jump off the Canon bandwagon, put my 7D on Craigslist late last night, and sold it this morning. As soon as the money was in the bank, I came home, checked the DVX in stock thread, and placed my order. So if I really get my GH2 this Friday, with my overnight shipping, it was a long wait. And a short one...
