GH2 in stock thread

None in stock at 17th street photo despite their website saying they are in stock.

ProVantage told me their next shipment will be in Feb 10th which is unfortunately too late for me. Guess I'm gonna have to look at buying some other camera as I dont want to go to India empty handed.
 
Unique photo customer service stated that big shipment is due next week also (35 units). Let's hope they know what they are talking about.

I am on the list for body only black- he stated that I was #12 and that he was getting 35 in next week, so mine will be shipped next week. Sorry, didn't ask for specifics. I was just excited to hear that the wait may be over.
 
I feel your pain...
I called unique and talked to both the store and customerservice sales and they said they had no idea when the next shipment is coming in.
For black body only they said there were 20 pre-orders, silver body only 6.

-Not that this info means much, who knows which staff member has the right info!

Called provantage they said they had huge back order and were 2-4 weeks away.

Called kenmore camera, whose website says InStock- they're not, a "glitch" the store guy said.
But he claimed that panasonic has told him the cameras have been shipped and, depending
on the weather- they should be in by wendsday.

Kenmore took a refundable deposit, Unique doesn't charge until on the way.

All of these stores said they had no clue how many units were on the way to them.

I find that last part purely psychotic. How do notify something is shipped then not tell what exactly is shipped?

I'm PO'd that no one can set expectations (Panasonic, mostly!). When I ordered originally, I didn't know about the huge backlog on the GH2. I saw ProVantage said 3-5 business days wait. I was OK with that. Now it's been pushed back to the point that I am totally SOL. I don't care about paying an extra $100 or $150 and I could have put in orders at Amazon or Adorama and I'd have a camera coming in the next week, but the PV guys were saying it would ship. Thanks guys... Now what? Buy some other camera I dont want? I don't even have time to send my HV20 in to get repaired. That's just disrespectful.

I ordered mine from Adorama three days ago and got notice that mine had shipped yesterday.
Just a 2 day wait. Not sure what the hold-up is for everyone else..
 
Just got one reserved at Samy's for pickup tomorrow. They have silver bodies and the 14-42 kits in stock. Adorama also had the silver 14-42 in stock earlier today.

My black 14-42 kit from Samy's will be here tomorrow. I ordered it on Saturday.. Not bad 'eh?
 
Just ordered mine from Samy's (black w/14-42mm lens). Wanted body only, but since they're so scarce I went ahead and got it - FedEx 2 Day. Love my GH13, but all the rave reviews from fellow DVXusers sold me on it. Can't wait to get it!
 
Just curious about the guys who ordered from Provantage... how do you know the order has been pushed back a week? I still see on my real time status report that they expect shipment february 11...

Said Feb 3 for me, now it's 11th.

But I had a friend go by and get one from Samys! They had bodies and 14-42mm kit available. Woohoo!
 
When I ordered from provantage my order was pushed 3 weeks, but then I received it 2 days later. I didn't get s tracking number until 1 weekn AFTER I received the camera and then I was charged haha. I could have technically cancelled my order in that week since even their main office had no clue I received it.

Basically their "real time status" is a crock.
