GH2 in stock thread

That's just canadian dollars.... even though our dollars are pretty much the same right now it still costs like $500 more for a GH2 here than in the states.

On DigitalRev? If you look at the USD versions, they are overpriced over MSRP by at least 6%.

Haha that's probably why they have a lot of them available. With my corp discount from PD I could have gotten a body only for $740 including tax, the wait was too long for me, I got to the point where I was willing to pay more just to get the camera in my hands. It was painful to fork out $1095 considering the amount I could have saved. It's gonna be painful either way, but I am very happy now!

I considered paying more too, but the main reason I wouldnt is because from what I understand, the GH1 cost the same when it was released and is only <$300 now...

Am I the only person on earth who ordered this last month still getting the its on back-order from the manufacturer story?.....seems like everyone is getting their camera but me!:cry:

Recent amazon orders beat PD?!?! THat's just frustrating!
 
I ordered from PD a week before xmas and still haven't received mine. Panasonic Direct's twitter stated that they expect more to ship out in 1-2 weeks.

I ordered PD EPP around the same time, no camera either. Sounds like PD is prioritizing EPP below regular orders too. Also ordered from unique photo 2 weeks ago and nothing yet there either. I refuse to pay full retail or above retail when they can be had for so much less, so I dont mind waiting. At this rate, I figure I'll probably have a Canon 5D Mark III and a RED Scarlet before my GH2 is delivered, and then I can just cancel both my orders :P

Seriously though, the longer it takes, the more I realize it really dont need it that much anyway. If it ever arrives, it may allow me to replace my 7D or my EX1 or both, but I'd have to run tests and work with it for a while before that anyway, so no rush.
 
Ordered from PD EPP on XMAS. Still waiting. Called Unique photo today- they are 15 people deep on waiting list for black and 4 for silver.

Did you order from PD EPP and Unique as well? Well I'll let you know if I ever get mine. I guess I must not be #15 at Unique considering its been two weeks, so that could be promising...

Yeah. ordered from both. About given up on PD. Called Unique today- I am number 15. haha
