GH2 in stock thread

I had a silver one ship on Wednesday from PD. UPS says it will be here on the 29th. I also ordered a black one at the same time which hasn't been shipped.
 
I ordered a black GH2 from PD over a week ago. I haven't heard from them at all. I even emailed them twice and received no response. At the time I purchased the GH2 I bought an accessory. The accessory arrived to my door 4 days later. I didn't receive any tracking number for that accessory, or emails notifying me of shipment. Their site also doesn't provide any information saying that it had shipped. All I can do is play the waiting game for my GH2 :(

Anyone know which SD / compact flash card is the best to get < $100?
 
I ordered from PD on the 15th by phone was told the cameras were in stock and would ship. After a few days of receiving no emails and no reply to my own messages I called them but was unable to get through for a full day. Finally when i got someone on the phone I was told the camera had not even been released and that i shouldn't expect to receive it until mid January. When i questioned them about people that I confirmed had received cameras from them they played the denial game and told me i could cancel my order if I wanted. I didn't realize Kenmore Camera had stock at the time along with a few other places so I didn't and now i play the waiting game. I will be calling them again today.

On a side note Tim, it is generally agreed the best brands of SD card are Panasonic Gold, Lexar Professional, and Sandisk Extreme III all of which are class 10 cards. You should be able to get 16 gb versions of these cards for under 100 or if you preferred two 8 gb cards.

Best Buy had the Sandisk 8gb cards for sale at 39 bucks a pop online and I picked up a few yesterday not sure if the deal is still going though. B and H has the Panasonic gold and Lexar cards at a similar price.

Just got off the phone with PD and they are now saying that the estimate shipping would be on Jan 4th. I asked for complimentary next day shipping and I'm waiting for a supervisor to call me back.
 
Curious... Despite reports, I wonder if they did actually address some of the issues brought up here (faint banding in high ISO's, HDMI out issues)...

Probably shouldn't get my hopes up, but that'd be cool. C'mon January...
 
Sorry all the PD people on here. I was tempted to get one from them but the horror stories are just so daunting.... Someone from Panasonic consumer should check into this....

One thing though people, the GH2 is worth the wait... stay strong people! I also think that the corporate price deal is pretty darn awesome....
