GH2 GH2 in Australia? (PAL version)

Hi all,

I'm keen on getting a GH2, but they seem non-existent in Australia. I have found some for sale from the US (both third-party and from the manufacturer), but was wondering if I'll run into issues with those. I'll mostly use 24p, but would like to experiment with the 720/50p. Does the US model support NTSC &/or PAL? Or will I have to convert it in post to get PAL? Can this camera be bought at all in Australia for a reasonable price?

i bought 2nd gh1 from the same seller and my gh2 from another taiwanese seller. prices in australia are too much. i don't bother with local stores anymore. i just got a japanese model and patched it to english and PAL
 
Why couldn't you order your GH2 from Amazon UK? Im from the US, but live in Hungary. That was the cheapest route to getting my camera. Does Amazon ship out there? Also, contact a local Panasonic Retailer. Maybe they can special order on for you at a decent price?

Hi all,

Thanks for the replies. I ended up sourcing one from an ebay seller (Taiwanese, I think) with the 14-140mm lens. I also plan to get some FDs from Adorama.
