This guy seems to have his GH2 balanced to perfection on the Flycam Nano.

I have a nano and have gotten the balancing "okay" but it still wants to lean on its own at times...

Has anyone here gotten theirs balanced perfectly?

If so, what was the trick....?

Any tutorial videos? Any proof videos that its balanced so well?

Yes I have on mine but I upgraded to the HD1000 and also Steadicam Pilot.
For the nano, weight helps to balance it. Make sure you have equal weights front and back. Heavier lens up top helps - I use the tokina 11-16 2.8 for nikon.
cheesycam.com has a few videos on balancing the nano.

My trick is to add some weights at the top as well right under the camera or on the Hot shoe with an adapter. The camera is so light it has too little momentum.

Phen,

Thanks for the reply on balancing the GH2 on the flycam nano.

You said you used some extra weight up top... I am interested to see/know what was used as extra weight and if you have any video or pics of the setup.

Hey!
I don't own the Flycam but used it on a few jobs. What I did was adding a few of those round weights on the top using a cold shoe extension like this one http://bhpho.to/Liu6Wm sliding the weights on the vertical screw and locking them with the plastic bolts.
Weight can also be any extra equipement you add to it. A wireless receiver, a lite pannel (weather you use them or not, just use them for their battery weight, just lock them in one position or you will change your balance)
Hope it helps.
Otherwise sliding a few weights between the plate and the camera is a safe way to go.

Also about steadicam, maybe totally overkill for the Flycam, but this DVD is the best instructional video ever! http://bit.ly/LiuXGk
