I've been posting lately regarding a new camera purchase, fist off thanks everyone for your help and guidance! I was looking for something that would be a good complement to my Canon 7D (Been using the 7D for my blog and DVD production for a few years now).
I was looking for audio level control, and autofocus. This weekend, I scored a mint condition GH2 with 14-140 lens, extra battery, and 3 Panasonic 8gb SDHC cards for $1050. cash (local). I was torn between a GH2, and a HMC-150, but I figured at this price there was little to lose (could always sell camera if it didn't work out). I went for it!
So far, I've been really really pleased!

Some things I really like:
- Autofocus with face tracking - has worked perfectly for my needs (See screengrab below)
- AVCHD is great - small file size, great quality, works well on my Premiere Pro CS5 Windows box, etc
- Much less noise even at higher ISO than my 7D (can easily do ISO 800 on GH2, 7D was noisy at ISO 400)
- Articulating LCD is great, touch is great
- Image quality is beutiful, really excited to try this camera in a variety of conditions
- SDHC!! (Why bother with CF cards that are so expensive!)
