Hi I have been looking into a solution to power my GH2 and have found this: http://dolgin.net/Power-Lumix.htm
I'm planning on using the batteries from my Panasonic HPX. The plate offers a second output for monitor etc...
I'm planning on using it as a small counter weight as well.
Has anyone tried it? Do you think it is worth it for $126?

It looks like a great product. On a shoulder rig, it eliminates battery changes (within a day's shoot at least) and provides a counter-weight, so you don't need a real "dead" weight. Only useful weight! Seems like a good price too.

I was looking at the same for Sony NPF970 battery along with 2nd output. I think it'll do the job if you have plenty of batteries or use them in your work flow.

My portable LED light and my monitor both use the same Sony battery, so this is looking like a no brainer. However I'm still researching if a battery pack with built in regulator like Tekkeon may be the solution. Let me know how it goes if you decide on it.

I discovered that the panasonic batteries have a really long life. 1 battery powers the SmallHD DP6 for 6 hours! So I am more and more considering going with this Dolgin plate (just need the money)

Ordered my plate yesterday. It will feed my gh2 and my dp6 monitor. I'll take some pics and let you know how it is.

When you order the dilgin plate. There is a box to request a secondary output on it. Then you plug your monitor to it. Et voila!

Alright I just got my Dolgin plate. It looks sturdy and the battery stays put (actually even a little hard to remove hehe)
I can't do the full test yet as I still have to buy the DMW-DCC8 DC Coupler to plug the camera.
I plugged my monitor on the secondary plug and it seems to work fine.

No idea, but you can ask Alex Dolgin. The secondary plug is a direct output from the battery. maybe you can find a power adapter to place in line of your monitor (what kind of monitor is it?)

Here are some pics of my rig with the Dolgin plate. The cable that goes to the monitor is too short, I am waiting for an extension cable coming in the mail in a couple of weeks.
The camera and the monitor are powered by the battery on the shoulder.
