GH2 Battery Died. Recover Footage?

I was shooting a wedding earlier tonight, the battery on of of my GH2s died during the ceremony. This was the master shot, so I really need this footage. I can play the footage in VLC player. So, I know it is there. However, Final Cut doesn't recognize it when I try to transcode it. Any advice on how I can transcode this footage to Prores would be most appreciated.

Thanks, but that doesn't work. MPEG Streamclip doesn't recognize .MTS files. Any other suggestions?

Clipwrap works wonders.
Handbrake compresses the footage again, but you can get encode just about anything and throw it back out into FCP (Free).
There is now a Quicktime plugin for reading AVCHD files, free. (PanasonicAVCCAMImporter)
Type in AVCHD at a site like (http://www.macupdate.com/) and you can get many tools for reading/opening the files.
Lastly, VLC does do encoding through the player. I've used it with mixed results, but if its the ONLY thing read the files then give that a go.
