Would it be better to move the official GH2 thread to the main discussion area?

The reason I started this thread is because I didn't think to look for GH2 info under the GH1 Firmware Hack sub-group.
 
I wonder what "cinema mode" means? A different Gamma curve?

The usual questions:
-How bad is the aliasing? Moire? Jello?
-What can video mode resolve (limits on resolution).
-Does it really have 1 stop more latitude than the GH1?

This would be fun to play with until the AF 100 lands.
 
It is decided to keep it in hack area temporary.
As very high number of flame messages is coming.
And hack subforum has very hard moderation policy :-)

Looks like 24Mbps is only available when shooting in 24p mode.

AVCHD
24H - 1920x1080 24p 24Mbps
24L - 1920x1080 24p 17Mbps

FSH - 1920x1080 60i 17Mbps (sensor output is 60p)
FH - 1920x1080 60i 13Mbps (sensor output is 60p)

SH - 1280x720 60p 17Mbps
H - 1280x720 60p 13Mbps

MJPEG

HD - 1280x720 30p
plus a few other low resolution modes

Very exciting. It will be great to test the HDMI output to see how it fares to other DSLRs. Maybe this will be the first DSLR with proper unhindered 1080p, or at least unhindered 1080i. Also will be interesting to see if FPN has been dealt with.

Will be very interesting to test for moire / aliasing issues with a higher megapixel sensor. Hopefully the faster CPU is combined with a better 1080p downsampling method to completely eliminate aliasing. With Canon were going to have to wait until at least the next revision of the 5D until the aliasing/moire is as good as the hacked GH1, so here hoping that the GH2 has completely solved this issue with increased cpu power.
