GH2 and RED MX shooting on Super Power feature film: Check out the Kickstarter!

Guys, spread the word and help a DVXUser out. Kholi's a long, long, longtime DVXUser, and his cinematographer Matty_G is a longtime DVXUser. These guys have been here forever, Matty's lensed some DVXFest-winning films (including Dispatch), I had the pleasure of working with both of them on "O2", and they're hard-working, dedicated, good folks. Kholi impressed me with his drive that he's gonna make this film with or without help. I read the script, it's funny. I put in some cash. So did Zak. So have a lot of you.

They're close, but there's only a few days left. Can we get some more folks to kick in some help? Look at it this way -- as of today, they only need another $4227. If they raise another $4227, they get all $17,250. If they don't raise that additional $4227, they get <nothing>. So you could look at it like: every dollar that someone contributes now, is actually worth four. If someone stepped up and donated $4227, the project wouldn't receive just $4227, it'd actually receive $17,250. The closer they get to the goal, the more those last few dollars count.

These guys have helped other DVXUsers out over and over. Matty is always helping shoot somebody's project or other, and Kholi's constantly shooting and reporting back here, giving firsthand user reports, he was the first guy with a GH1 giving out that report, and he's contributed a lot to the base of knowledge here at DVXUser.

Thanks for everyone who's taken the time and made the contribution to help out some of our own. And if you haven't yet -- could you please consider it? They've only got four days left, and they're really close to the goal.

Mirroring Barry, we're SUPER close (pun slightly intended!) We definitely thank everyone who's pitched in any amount! When we hit our goal, we're going to kick out the rewards! Check the video if you haven't yet and ten bucks or so goes a REALLY long way toward making this DVXUser roots project even better.

I think that you must use all possible appoaches in this last days.
 
You and I think alike. I was just on my way to seeing how much it would cost to run one starting today. It's probably worth the effort.

Way to rally, DVXers! You've already closed the gap by $460 in the last two and a half hours.

Man, this is almost starting to feel like a telethon, where we check in every few hours to see if the total is over the top yet...

well you can easily trick kickstarter so you don't lose all that money/backing. Just get someone to let you "borrow" $4000. They donate it via kickstarter then once it reaches 17000 or whatever you're after, you achieve your 'goal' and you get the full 17,000$. Then you just give the 4000 back to the lender and keep 13,000$ of it. Beats going all the way back to 0.00 and starting over.
 
Kholi, I asked Nino Leitner, fellow filmmaker on Twitter with about 7000 followers, to tweet about the project with a link to the Kickstarter page, which he immediately did. I hope some people chime in so you get your well deserved money.

Did anyone hear my post? If it's down to the wire and still 3k to go, just pony up 3k yourself to reach the 'goal' and get all the money then pay yourself back the 3k. You'll be 3k shy of the goal but at least you'll have the rest of the $$$ and not return back to zero. Or get a friend, family, your mom etc to let you borrow 3k just for 1 day. Why can't this work to trick the system?
 
Typically, "tricking" any system does have a cost. You'd not just be borrowing the money but you would be paying up seven to eight percent of it as well because Kickstarter and Amazon's fees combine to about that much of your total if you succeed.
