GH2 GH2 and Abobe OnLocation waveform monitor

Any of you GH2 users working tethered through HDMI to a laptop running Adobe OnLocation? The waveform monitor in OnLocation looks to be a valuable exposure aid for use with a camera like the GH2 that doesn't have zebras or a waveform monitor as part of the camera.

If anyone is using this, please tell us about it -- easy or PITA? Valuable or worthless? What's been your experience?

OL currently has firewire input only. I suspect that's got to change in future iterations, but as of now, firewire-only.

The GH2 doesn't have real zebras or a real waveform monitor, but it does have a sort-of-zebra (the overexposure flashing highlight) and it has a histogram. Both of those are reasonably useful; I mean, as compared to a competing DSLR, they're practically going overboard as far as video exposure tools go. Work with the GH2 for a while and see if you don't find it adequate.

Would be nice if OnLocation supported HDMI or HD-SDI inputs, but it doesn't.

Firewire is going the way of the dodo atleast in terms of cameras and acquisition. Would be nice if they moved to FW800 simply for compatibility and for file transfer. Real time capture is so 2005.... I hate capturing in real time!

In further researching this idea, it seems that the HDMI output from the G2 isn't what gets recorded on the memory cards. So it would be worthless for waveform monitoring.

Guess I should drop this line of inquiry entirely. Sigh... Seemed like such a good idea at the time too.
