GH2 already on B&H photo site!

the kit lens is nice and all but you will get better footage from nice quality fast primes as mentioned. if you like to point and shoot its a keeper.

yes, it is the only lens that appproximates video cam zoom with AF.

I would not spend $600 on that lens and I highly doubt ANYONE who does Video would spend that money for the lens. People had no choice before, now we do. Even if that lens is considered an "L" glass and has awesome auto focus as a young inspiring filmmaker this does nothing for me and I simply cannot understand how anyone would pay that kind of money for that lens.

/end rant and apologies ( just had to let it out)

Oh come on, rejecting that lens is only possible because it exists. If it did not exist people would demand it and ask why Panasonic does not provide one. Casual users who are the main target for this camera, are used to zooming and love this lens.

Yes, primes are better for some situations, but the 14-140 is great for run and gun. Try it, it is much better than you would guess.

Keep in mind the last release of the GH1 (I ended up buying from Canada!), plus the fact that B&H charges before they ship.

You could be paying for a camera that you may not see for 6 months! Hopefully it won't be as bad this time around.

I would not spend the money on the 14-140, but this camera is geared at consumers who like superzooms...I've never liked superzooms, I'd much rather have a short zoom with some speed - the kit lens is just too slow even if it's a good optical performer.
