GH2 25p

Can the GH2 do 25p?
I was under the assumption that it cant do 25p which is critical in PAL countries.
But when I was looking through the specs at B&H Photo it states " Now the DMC-GH2 can record high-resolution full-HD 1,920 x 1,080 movies in astonishing smooth 60i (NTSC) / 50i (PAL), doubling the sensor output from 24p / 25p to 60p / 50p."
Thanks.

It's definitely worth logging your disgust at lumixlifestyle.co.uk - they passed on my complaint to Panasonic and the more people moan the better. @movingpictureTV

How did you file a complaint over there? I can't seem to find the right link to do it...

25P It was great on my HV30 and i could make 25P HDV BLU RAYS but i thought bd avchd 25P was incompatable so what could be done with the footage apart from convert to hdv tape if you have it.

So that is better than standard 50i,i use 720P a lot and find it as sharp as 1920 50i but not as sharp as 24P how would 25P compare lf it was on the GH2.

25p should look very close to 24p - if the GH2 had it

<enter conspiracy theorists> :)

Okay, i know this might not be the best thread to bring this issue up but here goes:
Why is everyone so in love with 24/25p?? I dont do a lot of cinematic stuff, I mainly shoot swimming, so i need my 720p60. But what is going to be different if I filmed it in 24p (North America). Honestly, I'd rather see Panasonic working on how to get 120fps rather than 24/25p.
