GH13 with lumix 14mm f2.5 for grading, film look?

Since there are no wide lenses at 14mm and better f stop than 2.5 for around $250, I was wondering if this lens will give me a more filmic look if I shoot flat and grade the footage?

i have always wondered what the "filmic look" is. to me it's whatever looks nice to the eye artistically. so if you grade your footage to make it more asthetically pleasing or emotional then yes? im no pro=)

The attached pics in that post were with a canon fd 28mm f2.8 on the left and a panny 14mm f2.5. To me, the canon has a more filmic look stock but I didn't grade the footage. I also shot this with several manual lenses, one of them the Canon.

That was the first, "in the wild" thing I shot and the thing I remember most was I wanted faster lenses, wider lenses with auto focus. High ISO on the GH1 is it's weak spot so the faster the lenses the better.

Ultimately, IMHO, too much is made about "shooting flat" and grading. If you don't make a watchable film with good acting, directing, editing...how it looks won't save it.
