Well, I have both (GH13 with native 24p and a GH2), and what I can say is that the GH2 is clearly better. In terms of features, resolution and also detail in dark areas where my GH13 would just smear out details whereas my GH2 doesn't to that extend. I compared motion cadence as well by placing both cams on top of each other and they are equivalent. As someone said before, it's not night and day, but clearly an improvement.
Two major observations:
(1) What is still hard to explain but clearly evident, that the differences in daylight with the Panasonic lenses are almost not there, but with legacy glass like my Canon FD 50mm f1.4 the improvement is striking. Obviously these new lenses interact differently with the sensor than the old glass. With the GH2 I'm all of a sudden getting resolution detail with the Canon FD that I never had before. Don't ask me why.
(2) white balance at nightscenes: as the GH2 takes up color a bit different than the GH13, night scenes at manual Kelvin settings are much improved. With the GH2 I don't get that nasty "orange" during night which I always had to color correct with the GH13. Hence, skin tones especially at night are vastly improved.
I always wanted a second cam hence I'm very happy with the GH2. See my first video here:

If you don't need a second cam, GH13 is fine, keep it.
Beautiful images Gunther...Wanted to now the settings you had. Was it a 50mm macro in etc mode? It looked so good!
We all need to move forward and that is the GH2. Of course it is improved.
lets distinguish the GH2 marketting team from the real pioneers of GH13 then we would seen thru the paradoxes of technologies
"Let us pierce technologie's manifold truth perchance we veil the light of marketing."
Unlike the video modes, the GH1's stills mode does NOT show you an accurate preview of your exposure before you take a photo. After you become familiar with the intuitive way Live View gives you a preview of your video exposure, stills mode can seem outright dysfunctional. However, there's a clever workaround you can use to preview the exposure of your still shots:
1. If you haven't already, save your current video mode settings in one of the three Custom slots.
2. Switch to the Movie Mode, set it to Manual exposure, and adjust your exposure for taking a still shot.
3. Before snapping the shutter, switch to the M stills mode. The LCD display's brightness will change, but it will retain the Movie Mode's exposure settings.
4. After taking the shot in M stills mode, switch back to Movie Mode to set the exposure for the next shot.
If you prefer A, S, or P stills modes, you can set Movie mode accordingly. It takes a little practice, but once you get in the habit of previewing your stills in Movie Mode, you'll be able to switch back and forth by touch.
Again I pose the challenge to show me GH2 footage with massive detail in motion without blockies and weirdness in some areas. I have not yet seen this. Always in high detail and various shading shots I have seen GH2 codec issues. Don't show me a tripod shot where only a few parts of the image are moving.
