GH1 GH1 + Voigtlander M4/3 Nikon + Tokina 11-16mm Nikon Mount

Hi, I'm thinking about purchasing the Tokina 11-16mm for my GH1 and Voigtlander M4/3 - Nikon Adapter and have few questions;

1. I know that I will not be able to control aperture on this lens, but isn't it f2.8 throughout? So I would only have to add filters for outdoors or increase shutter indoors. Is this correct?

2. Will my FOV be more than on my Panny 20mm f1.7?

Basically, I want the widest possible pictures indoors with f2.8 aperture. So should I purchase?

Any help please?

IMO, 3mm wider than 14mm, while noticeable, IMO isn't worth 700 bucks. Word on the grapevine is that Oly will be announcing a 2.0 12mm lens (though rumor technically, it makes sense). Personally I'd stick with the 14mm on a 2.8 zoom or 2.5 if you don't have zoom until that 12mm is confirmed/disconfirmed.

I went for the Tokina in the end. Hope it lives up to the hype. I also just purchased the Voigtlander 25mm f0.95 and havn't tried it yet, but the build quality is out of this world!

edruga, receive your new toy yet? I have Nikon 11-16 already.. will buy new GH1 to hack soon and wondering what lens to buy or keep using my Nikon lens.

you can control the apature of the tokina with a nikon g adapter as long as you get the nikon version of the lens.

Please note , the adapter does not have a real aperture marks (1.4, 1.8, 2.0, 2.8, etc) It's sort of a slider with close/open position.
There's no way to adjust the aperture precisely. So keep it in mind.
