GH1 GH1 + Voigtlander M4/3 Nikon + Tokina 11-16mm Nikon Mount

Hi, I'm thinking about purchasing the Tokina 11-16mm for my GH1 and Voigtlander M4/3 - Nikon Adapter and have few questions;

1. I know that I will not be able to control aperture on this lens, but isn't it f2.8 throughout? So I would only have to add filters for outdoors or increase shutter indoors. Is this correct?

2. Will my FOV be more than on my Panny 20mm f1.7?

Basically, I want the widest possible pictures indoors with f2.8 aperture. So should I purchase?

Any help please?
 
edruga, please come back and tell me about your experiences, it would be great to know how you get on with the lens on the GH1 as I can't find any videos with this set-up. The adapter looks good and I aim to get a similar one.
 
Had a fotodiox, it will work. Not the best, for that you should get Novoflex adapter.

I ended up modding a few that I found on ebay to give me a real smooth apature control. The next thing I am going to do is make some shims so they will not over-shoot infinity.
 
Anyone have any good links to a G Adapter in the UK where I am based? I've looked on Ebay, but as usual there are hundreds with so many different prices.

Cheapest is HK sellers...I use suppliers litooc and roksen...if i want adapter quicker in uk I use yushamuk....still a HK seller but is dispatched in uk (will cost a bit more)
All have been reliable
 
fotodiox sucks! I have one. playing around plus minus 2..3 millimeters .IMO it's waste of money. come by my place and I'll give it to you for free.
 
Ebay user ciecio7 sells pretty good quality adapters at decent prices. I use his OCT19->m4/3 and CanonFD->m4/3 on regular basis - no complaints at all. Very precise, perfect infinity focus, no play at all.
 
Fotodiox <-> chinese ebay. Same product, only diff someone makes a lot of money printing their company name on it & selling double the price.

...and i've never had a slighest issue with any mechanical adapter to any system, there's nothing to "pay-get extra" here, it's just a piece of metal.

Agreed, I've had the novoflex and ebay nikon g to m4/3 adapters at the same time, and outside of a slightly beefer metal used in the novoflex, the shim and shake between the two we're identical. And the Ebay model was easier to remove lenses from.
