GH1 Sunset time lapse

[Ben_B]

Didn't want to blow weekly vimeo upload because I will probably be doing a whole "end of summer"/sunset montage in my home town before going back to college within the next few days so here it is on youtube in pretty good HD. This was 1080p, I usually don't shoot 1080p but I think I'm starting to like it. More info on settings before the clip. Enjoy.

WOW !!! Since GH1 does not have a time lapse feature, how did you do that ?

[Kerplunk]

And how'd you get around the 12 min clip limit?

[AdrianF]

Nice shots! Reading your notes I presume you didn't use an intervalometer and just let the camera run in FHD?

[sammysammy]

very nice ben!love the details at the start..

[Ben_B]

Yup, just ran the camera in FHD. If I had a remote shutter or an intervalometer I would consider doing photos but I think this is more honest with the camera's video capabilities and would cut together better with other shots.

Yup, just ran the camera in FHD.

How long did you let it run for ????

[Ben_B]

17 minutes 5 seconds. 11 GB ProRes LT file...which I believe was 9 after pulldown removal.

[ajamils]

and how did you changed that 17 mins file into 2 mins ?

[Ben_B]

Sped it up in the NLE. Actually it was more like 1 minute, I threw in the fast and backwards versions at the end
