GH1 Shipping Today! According to Panasonic Sales Rep

Berger Bros is a good store. They have 2 locations out here on Long Island and I've dealt with them many times. Great people. Just called them. One location has 2 units left, the other is getting 2-4 more after 2:30pm today (9/4/09). They have 30+ more on order, which, the guy said, would come in soon.

good god... i just ordered mine (august 29)... maybe i should cancel? last time i did something like that was when i was chasing the lx3 when it first came out - that turned into a big mess, and i should've just stuck with my original order.... what a headache:zombie_smiley:

yea the people at berger bros were very nice. Wow and you guys haven't gotten your cams from JR yet? I was about to order from them too. They made it seem like I would have gotten my cam in the next week or so good thing i waited and found berger bros.
 
Well, since I already got the cam from PD direct couple of weeks ago, I'm not worried about J&R taking their sweet time in shipping my other GH1 but still its kinda disappointing that everybody else has received some stock and J&R are still on backorder.

I am SOOOOOOOO frustrated with J&R, and am REALLY close to canceling my order and going with Amazon.com or anyone else at a retail price with free shipping.

Is it really that hard to get polite sales people who can tell me exactly where I'm at in the backorder list? I'm about to lose work because I can't get an answer from these people. 12% cashback is nice, but having a camera is better!

I had pre-ordered with JR back on July 5th. I ordered from Amazon last night and cancelled JR preorder this morning. I say just grab it from Amazon before it goes out- free shipping, too.
 
i ended up canceling my j&r order, and going to Berger Brothers based on a couple people's testimonials here. I couldn't be happier with the service from Dan and Brad. Really great people there! Shipping on Tues :)
 
You guys are too slow. Amazon had it for like hours before it sold out. Not third party sellar, Amazon had them for $1499. It looks like the stocks are filling up. Eventually they will be easier to find when GF1 comes out.
