Is that bing offer for jr.com over? I'm assuming yes since I searched jr.com on bing and saw nothing about cash back, but this is my first time dabbling with bing, so I'm not totally sure. Thanks. And poo poo me for not staying up on this thread the past week and nabbing a GH1 when all of you posted about its availability. dfgdfgdfgdgfdffgdf

I have backorders with Andorama and J and R from 8/10.

On this thread, I saw that some people were getting from Amazon and tried to place a back order on Friday, but Amazon wouldn't accept a back order. I tried on Saturday and got my back order accepted. Today, Sunday, I got an email that they are shipping on Monday.

It looks like the logjam is being cleared.
 
So have a few of you had quick ships from Amazon? I finally placed my order with them yesterday so I'm hoping to get that shipping info soon.
 
Yes the bing offer of jr.com is over. I placed an order with them during the bing promotion and so far I they have not shipped the GH1 yet. I received an automated email today, stating that they are still waiting for their stock from Panasonic and they do not have an ETA on it.

Luckily, I already scored a GH1 via PD so I'm not worried about them taking their sweet time in shipping one to me.

Yay. Yay. Got it. Picked up from Abel Cine. Looks good. Still testing, gotta figure out how to do manual shutter while recording....(thought I could, right?). 1080 is pretty jello-town. Time to experiment for a week or two and see if this puppy is road worthy. Thanks for keeping a great posting section to grieve along side y'all with.
 
Well after what seems like an eternity the great news is that I see my B&H pre-order status has gone from back ordered to ready to ship. I just called B&H and they told me mine will go out tomorrow. Needless to say I am very excited.
This whole experience has been quite the head trip as it took me quite a while to decide if I really wanted it, then when I had made my mind up, I found out that it was nearly impossible to get. Hopefully I'll check my email tomorrow and I'll get confirmation of shipping.
Would love to be out shooting in a few days!
 
I was able to buy one of th 17th street photo cams on amazon. They're out of stock by now. Just cancelled my JR order and my PD order.
 
I'm still hanging in there for my J&R pre-order. Lately, J&R has been receiving small weekly shipments from Panasonic. It's just a question on waiting for my turn. With the 12% Bing discount ($180) and no state tax savings ($75) I'm just going to have to keep my fingers cross that J&R comes through. I'm glad the folks that need a GH1 quickly are finding them thou. I the Bing discount has been reduced to 5-7% now.

Nope should still be going. Go to bing cashback, go through list of retailers, find J&R and then shop in J&R through their link. When you place an order and it ships you should get 12% cashback.

Edit: Yep it looks like cashback has been reduced to 5-7%.
