Yep it's the Panasonic. Not bad for the money, especially when you know what it takes to do paired optics in these babies when there made.

I have done some testing on Canon DSLR's and there are some frames in these links.

As for the GH1, so far preliminary results are mixed. Don't know why at the moment. The pain is the 1080 files always need to be converted for me to check results. So real time testing is not possible. If it did HDMI out then that would help. However no complaints, it cost only 1500 bucks and worth every penny...

Thanks Gmoe/gary called oscar up and he did the discount. He said it might effect my place in line since I already had a pre order. Im hoping they get enough. He said they had 96 people on the list and he didnt know how many cameras they were getting. He said at least 50.... Hope that helps anyone looking for more info

Umm, looks like somehow they got just enough cameras to fill there back orders/wait list, they claim there are no more in inventory.
 
Haha, I don't normally get in on this kind of craze. But I just called Sam at Crutchfield. Apparently several cameras from their initial batch were shipped to their retail stores. When they sold out of their online alotment they recalled those cameras, four I believe, and filled some of their online backorders. Currently I am number 2 in line (just called) and Sam said their buyer is expecting more cameras on September 14th. So fingers crossed...
 
Hey I got mine on friday from vistek (canadian company shipped to nyc no prob). just call them up and a very friendly person called Jeff helped me (I ordered it on tuesday got it on friday)

I couldn't wait for my "maybe" September shipping date from Panasonic Direct.
I think the camera was 1800 so 100 dollars more expensive then others.

Just made a round of calls @ 12:15pm -

Crutchfield said Sept 14th for their next batch - no more in stock at the moment.
J&R said they don't know, so didn't want to make any promises.
BH siad they don't know.
Adorama told me they want those cameras more than I do - and that they didn't have any idea.

Still sitting on my very late phone order from PD (7/23). A woman called me the day after I placed the order and made it sound like having the camera by early October might be a problem... (I really want it for my sister-in-law's upcoming wedding) and then recommended eBay. The woman I ordered with told me to contact them by late August if I haven't received the camera by then to check on the status.

I knew I should have jumped on the bandwagon earlier! I think I will keep my preorder with PD unless another option to immediately buy becomes available.
