GH1 Shipping Today! According to Panasonic Sales Rep

Regarding Ebay for $2000, if you use Bing.com cashback, you'll get back $160. Have it now for $1840, or wait until who knows when. Totally your call of course if it's worth it to you. If you have to pay sales tax and shipping from whereever you buy from, it'll be >$1600 anyway. So a $200 premium to HAVE IT NOW is not too unreasonable...

How do you do the purchase through bing? I'm looing around, i don't see ebay as a bing shopping store.

Okay just called Panny direct-- now they say they thought it was going to come by the 15th as promised but it has been further delayed--- so no cams for the July batch as promised according to this rep who spoke with his manager, they have no idea when they will come-- :(

My Amazon May 6th order now shows shipped (as of 15 minutes ago) - it still shows that UPS only has received the Billing Information, not possession of the shipment. Not a complete believer until UPS has it! Looks good, though! Hope yours is right behind...

I believe I win the 'longest NA release wait award' with May 3rd 11AM EST - J&R

can anyone challenge?

Guy that tipped me on Mikes had an order there since 4/11 but ended up getting one from panny via some contacts.

Bing.com cashback

Bing.com cashback

I see you've already bought it. Hope you found the Bing cashback. I sold a lot of expensive items, most people didn't bother with the cashback even though I listed instructions on my listings on how to do it!! Felt so bad and it's not even my money. Most people are skeptical I guess. There is no catch - I've received over $2000 in cashback from ebay purchases!!

In case you didn't or help someone else in the future, here:

1 - go to bing.com, in the search box, search for "xbox" (just one of the MANY keywords to trigger the CB link)

2 - on top of the search results, in the "sponsored sites" box, you'll see www.ebay.com Bing cashback, says 8% off with Paypal. If you don't see it, it DIDN'T WORK or Microsoft pulled it. NOTE this can change at any time, or removed altogether, but has been 8% for the longest time. At one point it was *35%*, but the $200 max per purchase still applies.

3 - click that link and it'll take you to Ebay. In ebay you should see on top in the middle, the Microsoft cashback 8% logo. If you see that you're good to go.

4 - now search for the item you want, it MUST be a buy-it-now listing. No good on regular auction or even best offer. If you see a best offer option, what you can do is email the seller with your offer, if he accepts ask him to change the buy-it-now price instead. I did that a few times, sellers are always helpful, he should be to get a sale ;)

5 - follow through, make sure on the confirmation page right before you commit the bid that you see the Micrsoft cashback stating how much you're getting back.

6 - pay with Paypal. After a little while you should see an email in your Ebay message. Setup your Bing cashback account and you're good to go.

Before there was a 60 day waiting period. Now it's instant on Ebay. Other merchants though there's still a 60day waiting period (like J&R, 5% currently).

Good luck!

I just talk to a Supervisor Alex at Panny-Direct call center in Virgina.

I asked him why, or how orders were delivered to B&H etc and no PD orders made last month were filled.

He explained to me that Panny-Direct orders are secondary priority, and they ship to vendors first. If there is left over product, those get used to fulfill the Panny Direct orders.

Oh, and if it's a corporate PO too, they get filled the same as vendors I learned..

Then I asked him to explain to me why even order from Panny direct; what is to be gained.

He's response was, " I can not give you any reason to order from us ( Panasonic Direct ) that would say that it's better over a dealer ". He went on to say, " you would think that since it is directly from US ( Panasonic ) you would get it first, however that is not how the Fulfillment is performed by their warehouse...

Well If I had known this in the beginning, I would have bought from B&H all along and never ordered from Panasonic Direct!

.

Ebay one did, he was saying that he was going to spend that extra money on some other accesories.

I had just made my pay pal account so Mikes said they got a thing saying I still had to link my bank account (not just credit card) before any payments could go through. I did that a half hour ago, they say they're still waiting on notification from paypal but I am confident. :)

Heh.... just saw this in my email from J&R

...
Thank you for your order!

This letter is to inform you that your order has not shipped.

Damn, yeah I didn't quite get it. I signed up for the bing cashback, but when i searched for GH1 nothing from ebay came up. I didn't realized i could search for something else like xbox. Man what a bummer. that savings would have helped me out a lot. Thanks for clearing that up though, i'll have to use it in the future.

I'll just be over here in the corner, repeatedly kicking myself.

Yes Microsoft. They're determined to gain on Google so they're throwing untold millions into this thing. Seems to be working. Bing actually works great, better than Google in some cases. Microsoft earned my searches with this CB program.

Hey don't feel bad for Microsoft. They can afford it, especially after they "saved" 40+ billions from not buying Yahoo ;)

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT before it's gone for good!

BTW Oh yes it works on non-Microsoft products. The other keywords to trigger cashback is Nintendo Wii and Sony PS3 LOL. This is not about selling Microsoft products, it's about gaining internet searches through Bing.com.

So you go in with the Microsoft offer and you can get the 8% on non-Microsoft products? Who's paying the 8%, Microsoft?
