GH1 Shipping Today! According to Panasonic Sales Rep

Sorry for caps, rendering. Abel cine supposed to be this week. Waitin' on the call like an abandoned prom queen. I wonder if gh1 will like me back?
 
Had my shipping address confirmed by J&R today and a 'We have more cameras on order than back-ordered'. :cry: I'm a 3D artist, think I should just SLA myself a gh1 on our rig at work and have the uber gray market camera!

Wait I don't get it...oh wait, I just got it...they have more pre-orders than they have cameras ordered with Panasonic :shocked:

How did get they do address confirmed. Did they call you? When I placed the order last Monday they said they had 70 pre-orders but expecting 200 cameras. Did they tell you how many were coming?
 
Thanks to dvxuseruser RS-Colo! I managed to get the last one from Mike's in Colorado. Ordered this morning, just waiting for them to confirm that my paypal went through, which it should have. Should be here friday! In time for NY/DC trip which I thought would never, ever happen! Saints be pwaised! Fingers-crossed on everything going well from now on. Or else :badputer:

Yeah they called me to confirm, maybe cause I'm having it shipped to work and not my billing address. I didn't ask how many they had, simply 'is mine in the first big order' that got a 'yes'.

When did you place your order? Did they say when the cameras were coming. When I called CS said they have no ETA of the cameras.

Anyone else ordered from Vanns.com?
 
I placed with J&R on Monday morning as a safe guard cause I couldn't get any info out of adorama. I have a feeling next week will be 'the' week.
 
I've got an order in at Henry's, I'm just hoping that it gets fulfilled at some point. I've given up on my Shopatron order. I think Panasonic is filling other orders before those.
 
:huh:Still waiting on call re: paypal confirmation. Hoping American Express didn't do something stupid like block the charge. Paypal says everything went fine...got normal confirmation from them after doing it. Will call at lunch if I don't hear anything.
 
Guy at B&H said they had some stock yesterday that never made it to being up on website, I told him that didn't sound right be he was adament. that annoyed me cause I was calling them a lot yesterday and never got anywhere. He said they should have more in a few days, very likely...keep calling there, and keep asking if they're "accepting orders" he said they weren't because they didn't have an exact date but I've heard they are taking people's.

I then called Panasonic Direct, where I have been on back order since June 22nd. And they said they "may" have stock to ship by early August?

Ben B, I just check Mike's in Colorado, they don't show any GH1's on their web site. I'm scheduled to go on a trip July 22nd and it certainly looks like I won't have a new camera to take :cry:.

So your guy may be right but the guy who I talked to today said next week will be the first batch.. He may be B.S.ing but at least I'll throw that out there. I put in my orders just in case..
