GH1 Shipping Today! According to Panasonic Sales Rep

I had to pick this morning to drive to Santa Cruz for a shoot instead of going tonight?!!! WTF!

Ugh.

Ugh.

Calling them first thing on monday, gonna ask when the next shipment is, demand to know why I didn't get email notification, and further demand that they take a preorder even though they don't do that.

**** B&H. That is seriously enough to make me not want to shop there.

Hey can you let us know when you get a tracking #? Just to be clear, I'm not doubting your order or anything. I'm curious to see if they really had enough to fill pre-orders AND additional new orders, or if the f'd up like Panasonic and Shopatron. I didn't order one from B&H (no free shipping) so this should be interesting to see what happens.

I definitely will, now you guys have me worried...I'm thinking I should've kept that JR pre-order---but very little room left on the CC , also making purchases for my unborn son, (wife's 8mo's preg!!!), you know,

checklist: diapers, paint for the bedroom, baby bottles, crib, GH1, wipey's...

The person I spoke with said it would ship Monday to arrive on Tues.

We'll see....

They don't charge until they ship. You'd hopefully have time to cancel before that happens.

I know, but given the circumstances that JR may have them the 14th/15th it could've conceivably shipped generally around the same time as the B&H. It's too close to the flame for me, I'm talkin' there's very little room on the card, I don't like taking chances going over the limit on CC and getting penalties, yadayada...not worth the detriment on Credit Report, stuff like that follows you forever!

Anyone got an email from JR that the camera was out of stock? I got one this morning and scared the crap out of me, the email did say it was send out automatically for pre order items but why send out a week after I ordered? Maybe some activity going on there with the inventory?
 
Camera arrived today (Saturday) via USPS from Henrys! I was tempted to do a Shopatron spoof unboxing video revealing an old shoe in the box...but too anxious to play with the new toy.

Will test my Sennhesier MKE 400 with it later today and post a sample test.

I got the same email around midnight last night. If you look at nowinstock.com there's a bunch of J&R activity, but it never once said "in stock".
 
I rec'd that email on Wed. the 8th @ 2 am....also automated...

Tracked my packge from B&H, says "partial shipped". The card reader&SDHC card says shipped to arrive Mon. but GH1 says "ready to ship"?? not sure what tha means, why wouldn't they have all gone together- are they coming from diff. distribution warehouses?

...I do remember the guy who took my order saying something that it would ship Mon. b/c it was a holiday weekend?? not sure which holiday...but honestly, I was so excited about making the purchase that it kind of went over my head. Hope I'm not screwed.....

damn, shouldve kept my JR preorder...

The only holiday I'm aware of this weekend is from about 6:30-10ish... UFC 100. Hope you actually get the camera too because that means the bigger dealers are starting to get them too finally.
 
There's a Jewish holiday today? I don't think so. There was one on Thursday. Are they just observing that this weekend? Would make sense why I can't order anything there.
 
I'm not Jewish, so I might be grossly misinformed, but Google told me that there was a holiday on Thursday, but it carried no work restrictions. Maybe they shut down anyway, or maybe he was just talking about their normal weekly closure.
