it is also interesting how you can set region of the camera but it can only be done once. Leaves room for someone thats a bit of a hacker to unlock regions me thinks.

Typical repair facility stuff. They have different "levels" of repair manuals to keep proprietary information centralized.

What we need is that main PCB document more than anything else.

I'm trying to figure out what the IC is that drives the HDMI output on the mainboard. The pictures of the board show an IC with 4712 written on it but I can't find any HDMI or DVI driver/controllers with that number. Matsushita(panasonic's parent company) doesn't list most of their ICs so I haven't been able to find anything in their brands either.

Svart, the file is no longer available. I did a search and they want $13 for the download. Do you have it available and could share?

I only have service manual 1. It does not include the schematics or BOM for the mainboard or sensor, both of which I am looking for and should be included in service manual 2/3.

Does anyone have a link for a service manual? I need to disassemble my new GH1 to modify it's lens mount. I'd feel much more comfortable cracking it open with a manual :)
