GH1..Lens..7D...T2i?

I was going to purchase the Panasonic 20mm pancake lens for my GH1, but it looks like Canon will be the reining champ in the DSLR field, so I thought why spend up to $400 on the lens when I can get the T2i for not much more. My question is, is it worth it, is the T2i better then the GH1? And if so, what's the major difference between the T2i and the 7D? Thanks!

You should consult the likely 1000 threads that have been over this ad nauseum for the past several months...

keep your Gh-1 and do the GH-13 hack.

Get some Nikon F mount or Contax Zeiss Primes and an adapter...

your GH-1 is better than a t2i - less moire less aliasing.

get some good glass that adapts to other systems (nikon mount or Contax mount come to mind instantly) and that way you can use the lenses on either camera.

If you can hold out like a month or two (or 6) there is gonna be some GREAT stuff coming out that is more deserving of your camera money. Lenses are the best investment (multi system compatible manual focus)

I'll hold off on saying which camera is better than which. But speaking for myself...my current camera (the one that I have in my hand) is better for me (and that's coming from someone who owned both). But...since you already own the GH-1 I'd agree with what Dan_Kanes said. Keep it....invest in some lens etc. If you do go the Canon route you'll find at this point it's just basically more of the same (meaning you are not rally gaining anything). New cams are on the horizon...so it's best just to use what you have and wait it out. Whatever you do....don't buy into any hype. You'll just be throwing away money that could be used elsewhere (unless you got dead presidents to burn). In that case....hook a brotha up. :)
