GH1 Arriving 2 Days, Firmware Upgrade Needed?

My Gh1 is on the way. Does anyone know if the firmware will be up to date or will I need to do it, or is it not necessary either way? If I do need to upgrade, can someone tell me how to do it and where I find the firmware updates?

I got mine a few weeks ago and it came with the new firmware.

You can check the firmware version in the menu

There are step by step firmware update instructions in the manual that is included

Because the newest firmware updates weren't that long ago, I don't think it's up to date.

You should update based on the lens you have.

check the FW in the menu.

Camera Body is now v1.2
Lens is now v1.2

act accordingly.

Thanks for the help Everyone! Yes, after all the research I have been doing, I am excited to finally get the camera. And, I have some shooting lined up for Monday, so I will be putting the GH1 to immediate use.

v1.2 update for the body came with the camera, but I didn't realize there was also a lens update... thanks for the heads up!
