I've been following the Canon 5D and 7D and 500D. Seems they all have reports of serious aliasing problems.
What feedback can any GH1 users report on their experiences in either NTSC or PAL models of the camera.

I just know I've seen some pretty scary stuff. Car grills. Shingle roofs. Power lines. Metal rim glasses on a person... I've had all of those render as shimmering jaggy lines. To me it's pretty bad when it happens. I don't think I've ever seen it that bad in another video camera. If anyone has a tip as to how to avoid that I'd like to hear it.

I just bought the canon 500d and i have a lot of aliases problems too, especially in 720p mode.
Its more annoying with artificial things in the shot (roofs, monitors, ets) and less with just natural things (faces , nature ets).
