I directed a Spec trailer recently shot on the GH13. Here are some grabs from the shoot.

what's a "Spec Trailer?" don't let my post count fool you :-)

i like the grabs, but it doesn't make sense. is this a commercial, a short, or a feature? (they look good either way)
 
This is a proof of concept trailer for a marketing spoof feature comedy. I directed it for Green Machine studios. I also operated the GH13 on many of the scenes. Thanks!

are these grabs from the "GH13 footage" or "photos" taken at the time of shoot?

also iam seeing alot of naked fellas, and only a tiny peep of some pretty ladies :P
 
The above are GRABS taken from GH13 footage. The video below is the Promo for the Spec idea. I was hired to Direct, Run Camera, Edit, VFX, CC, and do Sound. And in only a few days before a deadline. It was CRAZY but very very fun.

That was Hillarious, Great shots, Production....Loved every minute of it. Im glad to see that this was shot on a GH13. any way you can take a shot of your Rig setup? What mics? Lighting? so forth Any behind the scenes shot? Man I loved this.
 
I will be DPing a Feature film in LA in November. It is an amazing script with big names. It will be shot on two GH13's.

The only thing they didn't ask you do do was be one of the principle actors (or did they?)

Anyway you are obviously a guy with a lot of hats and they all fit real well!

I especially like the spot where they get in the car ,with all the smoke around them and you cut back and forth with the commercial it is hilarous and the two guys do that part really well ,good reactions facial expressions.

So could you tell me what exactly does the hack do? I mean, what do you get from the GH13 you dont get from the GH1?
 
Very cool :D Some dodgy acting - especially when they were thrown out the building... but it doesn't matter in this kind of thing :grin:

Would love to hear a bit about what film settings you used / types of lenses.

You get over 40 mbps instead of 17, so much less compression. No noise, no banding and MUCH less aliasing problems. It basically tunrs the cheap camera into an incredibly powerful one that makes gloriously beautiful images.

I used the smooth setting with contrast -2 and sharpness -2. We shot on 50mm f 1.4 Nikon, 28mm F2.8 Nikon, 85mm F1.2 Nikon, the 20mm F1.7 panasonic pancake, and the stock lens 14-140 zoom. We shot everything in FHD mode with the hack.
