Getting my HV30 Tomorrow

I'm getting my HV30 tomorrow. Bought it from B&H last Friday. As no one else seems to have it yet, I will post pictures and initial impressions tomorrow night.

Okay! Be sure to show us some "slow-motion" of the 30p slowed down to 24p.

I can't wait untill somebody takes the firmware of the HV30 so we can use it on the HV20, if we can.

I got it, just haven't had time to take the pictures yet.

Initial Impressions:
-Black is a good look for the HV30.
-The Accessory Shoe cover is attached so it doesn't fall off like the HV20.
-The zoom toggle is a lot easier to use.
-LCD isn't the best quality, probably the same as the HV20, but then again I am getting used to the Sony HD broadcast cameras and their super high-res displays.

I haven't shot anything with it yet other than a very quick test. I am shooting an event tomorrow so I will upload some pictures of the camera in action later this week.

TMNT - at the current prices an HV30 is only about $100-200 more than the HV20. Go for the 30, I chose it because of the zoom toggle...its now much easier to use than the 20.

Is anyone finding the 30p mode something they wound up using much (after checking it out), or was it something you just checked out and then went right back to shooting 24p for just about everything you desire progressive images for?

I think the place 6ave.com had the HV30 for US $688 after you put in the code (sign up to receive the code). Unfortunately the don't post overseas :(

Haven't really researched the company yet but they seem alright after reading through posts at the HV20 forum.
