Getting Lenses to match 28mm, 50mm, and 135mm

I would love to have this lens!
Used it once though, its a monster, heavy, no filter threads.
As far as owning ... out of my price bracket so went tokina 11-16 instead and use 24/2.8 prime

any clue if this lens will work with an adapter on the 7D? Simple because i worry that electronic lenses won't give us the option to adjust aperture and leave us stuck at 2.8?

Yes, PaPa, you will not be able to adjust aperture when you use an adapter.

The 11-16 you can get for canon. Unfortunately for me I own the nikon mount version so I will be measuring my f-stops like this
3x Q-tip stem (wide open)
2x Q-tip stem
1x Q-tip stem


Same would go for the 14-24 if I was lucky enough to own it

ah, perfect.

now, i wonder how switching from tokina, to canon, to nikon lenses during a shoot will change the continuity of the colors/contrast. hopefully it won't cause too many headaches.

The Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 has very good reviews and user comments, it's less than half the price of Canon 17-55mm f/2.8.

B&H says, "Not compatible with 35mm or digital cameras with image sensor larger than APS-C size."

So, the 7D is 1.6x. What's APS-C???

The 7D has an APS-C sensor.
This lens will do just fine with it, I'm thinking of buying it myself instead of the kit lens.
