I realize I'm going on the cheap here, but the simple truth is until I come up with $2000 to buy a new MAC and Final Cut Pro, I'm stuck using my MacBook and Final Cut Express. Therefore I need a way to convert my 24p & 30p footage from my HMC 150 into .MOV files encoded in AIC so that Express can handle it. (If I Log and Transfer the footage directly I get bad results--about 1 frame every 20 dropped for 24p, and the footage interpreted as 60p for 30p. In other words if I have a 60 second 30p clip, it gets turned into a 30 second clip with the audio playing at normal speed and only half as long.)
So I'm asking for the best .mts to .mov file converter. Current I have Voltaic ($40) which drops frames like crazy!
