getting a err01 with a tamron lens

I have the canon 60d, my canon lens and my sigma worked fine. I just got the tamron 17-50 vc yesterday and twice I got a err 01. I took the lens off and on and havent got it again. I wrote canon and they said its the lens. Should it go back? I got 30 days to return from new egg.

Common with that lens, don't worry about it

I had that lens and it happened a few times. I know it happens to everyone who owns that lens.

yup usual thing. i just take it off and put it back on and its fine.
