Get Your Files Ready

i logged into the server. i dragged my zip file into the window.

ftp.24puser.com cannot me modified?????
 
you'll have to make it write only. it's read only at the moment.

write only - we can upload but no one can see our stuff. so they can't delete it
 
i'm just using an ibook, when you connect to an ftp server it loads as a drive in the file system. so i should just be able to drag the file in there. i've done it with other ftps.
i've checked the write permission on the server and it said "read only", not write only.
you'll need to change the user permission or create a new username with correct permissions.
 
im using cyberduck and its working fine.. try the second server though.. this one will let you see your files, you just cant download them.

question b4 i upload

on the .mov file I right click goto propetieson winxp(and get info on OSX i have both) its says the file is 49.9MB. then is says size on disk is 52.3 megs. Doing the math 1024=1 meg 49.9 is correct... if i do Hard drive math 1000= 1 meg then its 52.3 megs. I just want to make sure that my upload is good to go


also i'm using FIlezilla on winxp and it works peachy and its free.
 
I dont know if this was mentioned, how large can the mpeg2 file be? the quicktime must be max 40MB...the mpeg2?????
 
well my movie is 2 minutes long so it came out at 120MB
seems to work ok.....
the QT file is the real PAIN!

I did a billion versions before I got 49.9meg file heres what i did in QT PRO
kbs 390 and audio to 24k and that did it for me and it looks ok my film is 5:57
 
loooool! right now I m so excited I dont care if it rhymes with 'what the f*** is wrong with me!'!!!! ;-) :) :)
