Get GH2 or keep 7D?

I have a few cams including EX1, 5DII and 7D;
EX1 is most of the time on steadicam, 5D is always on sticks and 7D/17-55mm 2.8 IS is for hand held shots, but i'd love to have AF,
I would replace my 7D with GH2, but I can't find any fast IS zoom lens for it, does it exist?

thanks guys!

I wll be keeping my 5d and using for close ups and that beatiful shallow depth but will purchase the gh2 for the more practical shots.

Yes, there are fast zooms - mostly 4/3 Oly lenses, but only one of them autofocuses with the Pannys (14-54 f2.8 MK2). I got this lens based on recommendations here, and its very, very good, although focusing isn't as fast as the native m4/3 lenses from Panasonic.

One other really nice zoom is the Oly 35-100 f2, but its also manual on the Pannys.

There are no fast IS short zooms for m4/3 or even 4/3. Key here being IS. There's no fast IS short zooms for the 5D either. That's a real niche for the 7D/T2i right now, you have the choice of a 17-50/2.8 with IS/OS/VC from 3 different makers, Canon, Sigma and Tamron.

35-100 looks like a winner, a bit too close considering crop factor, but it doesn't have IS, so it looks like I'm stuck with 7D :)
to my eye handheld DSLR with no IS is not acceptable,

thanks guys!

The leica 14-50 has image stabilization, I think -- only problem is that it breathes a lot when focusing.

it is a good Good still lens, but 2.8 is already not fast enough, and zooming to 50mm it'll go 3.5 which is not fast at all,
are there any IS m4/3 primes, or 14-50mm Leika is the only one with IS in the M 4/3 lens department,

35-100 is expensive! Damn!

I'd rather buy a kit of 5 or so Nikon manual primes for this price.

And OP, fast I guess not yet. Panasonic said they were working on a 'bright zoom', so it may pop out in the market in a few months.

If lens aperture is not a concern the 14-140 is a GREAT lens!

Sold my 7d last week. Now using a GH1 (hacked) and GH2. I much prefer it, lighter, better detail in movie mode, live histogram etc. I agree about the lack of a fast IS zoom! I'm thinking about getting the Olympus 14-54 at some point but just wish it had IS!

The GH2 doesn´t have a cheap bright zoom as the canons e.g. the Tamron 17-50 VC I use on my 60D
And the GH2 is looks really cheap!! Almost like a toy camera.

That´s the only two downsides of the cam. In everything else this camera beats th sh**** out of any canon, even the 5D because I really think the 4/3 Sensor with its greater DOF is a massive advantage because you can actually PRACTICALLY use F-Stops of ~2.0 and you don´t get the insane shallow DOF of a 5D -> Better low light performance.

This is the first camera where I really feel it´s HD. I often use an EX-1 but the GH2 seems to be superior in resolution!

I love this camera as I love my 60D but the 60D will now do what it´s supposed to to. Taking pictures!

Other than the Oly 14-35 and 35-100, F2.8 is pretty much as fast as zooms get. I agree it would be nice to have a fast IS zoom, but I'm sure it's around the corner. In the mean time the Oly 14-54mm is pretty effective in moderately low light.

I believe all relevant Oly/Pany zooms autofocus on Gh2 (that is, both 14-54's, the 12-60, the 14-35, and the Pany 14-50mm.) It is too bad that the Pany 14-50mm has that breathing problem, it'd be by far the best option, otherwise. There's also the Tamron 17-50mm F2.8, which might autofocus (although it doesn't have IS.)

You could always look for Nikon version of those lenses or even use Canons with $150 aperture adaptor..
