Garden Cart Dolly.

Re: Garden Cart Dolly.

Actually the legs with the eating disorder are Bogen. I upgraded from Tinker Toys... As I found those to be a bit unstable (much like these) ;D

Re: Garden Cart Dolly.

Got one of these carts for a shoot this past weekend. It actually came in more handy for moving equipment around than it did for the shoot.

When it came time for the tracking shot it was intended for, the dolly did the job moderately well. It's a little shakier than we thought it would be, and a LOT shakier than a real dolly. But then, it's about 1% of the cost. Also, it tended to veer off after just a few starts and stops. Not a big deal. It's light enough just to push pick up and put back on the mark.

For those of you ordering it online, here's a problem we did not foresee at all. It stinks. The wheels give off a very noticeable, very pungent rubber odor. You will probably not be able to store it inside or in an office, as we had intended to do. Luckily, it's outdoor equipment and should hold up (especially in LA, where it hardly ever rains), but it's a bit inconvenient.

Re: Garden Cart Dolly.

No other weight besides me. I weight about 150 lbs. And we did get the shot, btw. It's stable enough to use, that's for sure, and we couldn't have gotten this shot without a dolly of some kind. This was by far the cheapest solution.
