Garden Cart Dolly.

Re: Garden Cart Dolly.

Hi guys - Like Kai said I just got his info this morning. I will convert tonight and upload tomorrow (or sooner)

Re: Garden Cart Dolly.

Hi Guys - I have the QT file but am having trouble getting the file to Kai. My only internet connection is at my office where admin prevents the download of any .exe programs, preventing me from running any FTP software. I will try again tonight from another location to DL a ftp program and then send it off to Kai.

I appreciate your patience.

Dave

Re: Garden Cart Dolly.

Just an FYI, they sell the same cart at Costco for like $67. they also sell a rolling seat for $28 with real air tires. I was thinking of getting the cheaper one, pulling the wheels and building my own dolly out of wood.

This would allow me to make it rideable and balanced. As well as fit in my car.

Re: Garden Cart Dolly.

fellas -

If all went correct the file appears to have been uploaded to Kai.

Take care

Re: Garden Cart Dolly.

Kai,
Thanks for all your work.

I viewed the video and agree that the opening scene is smooth...however, it's not enough to go on.

I guess now it's time to buy the damn thing and find out for myself, eh?

Thanks again.

Re: Garden Cart Dolly.

Yeah, I'm not so sure you can determine much about the dolly from such a short clip.

However, I will say that I really liked the images and composition in your movie. ;)

Re: Garden Cart Dolly.

Damn.

All of that suspense for 1 second of footage; >:( :D

No worries; just have to get one and see what happens! Thanks anyway and KAI thanks for hooking up!

Re: Garden Cart Dolly.

Hey dsk - any pics of what your cart setup looks like,
with sticks & sandbags mounted?

Also, doesn't the pivoting handle present some problems,
only giving you the option to pull rather than pull AND push?

Re: Garden Cart Dolly.

Hi guys -

Sorry for the short clip, I understand perfectly your comments. I have a longer clip of that scene I captured from the raw footage over the weekend. I will forward to Kai and let him decide if it's worth putting up.

Jeff Moore - We only pulled, but you can remove the handle and i'm sure with only minor tweaks this rig could be a pusher.

I do have pics of the cart with my camera mounted. I hope this week to secure some web hosting and then I will be able to post this stuff myself and will not need to bother Kai anymore (Kai - thank you so much for helping out)

As someone just getting started I feel as if this cart is capable of getting some nice shots. Once it gets rolling she smooths out nicely.

Re: Garden Cart Dolly.

..hey jeff,
before i can laugh well and hardily at the sticks, i need you to say that they are "velbon". then i can laugh till my head falls off.

p.s. i have had 2 velbons.. mainly for working with a 35mm slr . i gave one away, and still have the super el cheapo little light one that i got for free :P
