Well, that's a steal... 300 usd with kit lens.

Better blacks than GH3. Might had a faulty unit but I doubt it... the "more DR" in video on GH3 always seemed to me like pushed blacks by default bringing out noise, not any actual extra dynamic range. Also all my GH3 footage has graded really, really poor and I sold it a couple months ago after being disappointed with the performance on a corp shoot.

Color rendation is closer to that of a GH2 (in my opinion better than GH3) and the blacks are cleaner than both GH2 hacked & GH3. There's no flat picture style in the camera, but some minor lifting in post and it looks fabolous. Only "standard" picture profile though, the others look like scat (especially "natural", seems to have a messed up gamma curve). I'm no techie and I don't care about the technical stuff either to be honest, it just looks really good for a camera this price and I'm surprised it looks better than GH3.

Cons: Can't switch to NTSC (?). Bitrate hack would make it even better.

I can see it being pretty cool with a bitrate hack actually, would be really interesting! Interesting about your sensor feedback

Is that your video? I just "liked" it yesterday on Vimeo. Funny.

I really like my G6. I can't shoot with it as well as you can yet. I heard that Panasonic is discontinuing that camera line though. It's a shame. It's so lightweight and cheap.

I'm looking for the best ways to stabilize it though. What did you use in your video? It's so smooth.

Where did you get it for $300?

lol I just logged in to ask the same question.

A store here in Sweden getting rid of everything with the name Panasonic in it... maybe not that GH2 kit that is more expensive than a GH3...
