hey guys,
Im hearing alot about this new (beta) g35. Do anyone have a vague idea of how much it will cost?I've seen macgregor's work on xlcinema.com. The gladiator clip is amazing. I'm as some of ye already know , new to the camera scene. How would I use the g35?Do I attach it to the lens that comes with the xlh1?Also, if I do use other lens, do they have to be hd lens in order to get a hd picture?
 
The G35 (www.cinemek.com) is an adapter that allows you to use photografic lenses with your videocamera. According to the rumours the first batch of 50 units will be ready for shipping on July. The price is around 1300$. There is lots of other 35mm adapters but IMO the G35 is among the best there is. I'm praying for the day Jonathan will return and start selling these babies.
 
Also it depends what camera you have - Mcgregors footage was shot on the Canon XL h1--- But in SD
The G35 existed in beta as a static adapter, working in SD - but when you start working with HD - you need to vibrate the ground glass the image is projected on, that your camera is filming - so you dont get any grain.
Last I heard, the G35 was moving towards making their adapters vibrate,
