Exploits many of the unique features of the fx3 for this commissioned video: good AF, 120p 4K, all-intra codec to minimize motion artifacts, stabilization, and the parfocal 28-60mm lens.

Key are the expressions of the skateboarder as he fails over and over and finally nails it, twice.

I wasn't expecting that!

He gave up on the 360 flip and went to the kickflip at the end.

I think the 360 flip is the world-wide initiation to starting to get legit after all of the easier tricks.

Like with most kids in certain parts of America, skateboarding was my life when I was younger. I haven't watched any skate videos in many years so not sure about how the culture has changed (and hasn't), but you'd never see so many people sitting around the trick zone in the 2000s (unless the skater was a pro and it was part of the commercial video). But I also know it's a public space...just no way you can concentrate with people/strangers around you like that though.

Personally, I never got past a heelflip. :D

same. I also broke my wrist after putting rollerblade wheels on a board and attempting to cruise through golf course cart paths. Just an akward, uncoordinated disaster that had no business on a skateboard lol. But the stoner metalhead kids were by far the most fun to hang out with!

entertaining video :)

lol, I've never heard/seen that before.

I inline skated too (did everything, actually), but would never tell anyone and risk being called a poser, lol.

I couldn't contain myself when looking at the decks and the trucks and wheels and shoes etc. in the CCS magazines back in the 90s.
