I almost forgot.
I would REALLY hate to see the same a typical "pro, but as seen before" menu on the cam that breaks so many boundaries. It's no problem to produce and can totally change the perception for the cam operator.
As I see it- camera is a creativity device. Creativity doesn't like cold and boring human-machine interfaces, because a lot of it dissapears in between.
Offcourse, large production companies couldn't care less for this, but some of us do.
Pro doesn't mean boring OR unimaginative, people!!!
The best solution would be a customisable menu design (wishfull thinking, but anyway). A simple RED customization software could be used and Illustrator or Corel doc import would be pretty enough. Maybe far-fetched but......we'll see.
The whole point is to match the cam's breakthrough performance with it's menu design. Oakley style is just fine by me...
For the traditional ones - typical menu option can be just a click away...
