Nice job with the "DOF" composites. I gotta get around to testing that trick out. Did you actually buy the camera or are you renting it? You planning on making an action/horror film or something? You definitely nailed down a nice look for one.

Ok, i think your natural shots are great. i think the "vampire" cc ruins the shots.
though the guy with the tatto looks amazing. i know in todays market you have to make everyhtign look "processsed" but go against the grain and try getting thoes looks incamera if you can.

you are right regarding the CC an "processsed look".
This is my first camara. So very little experience. Now i try to learn to make as much dinamic range i can't.
It a normal HD camara. The internal procesing are more limited that of a varicam. So to create a look like this examples it imposible. As you know, the first objectiv in digital cinema it to record as much informacion in hilight, and not lose the detail in shadow. The 8 bit recording it force me iven more to make a look, which it dangeros, the look search it a long proces with go and back from pre-producion to post-pro, so many changes on the whay. You must be very segure on yourself.
Personal i just work with in camera color. I dont make changes in contrast. it important to me, also, to have detail in shadow, later in CC, i make deep shadow if i want. But the reverse proces it imposible. Even more, there it no digital intermediate or quantel, so more dangeros to make the in camera look. A close approximation to the final look YES i do. I litle bit. But grabbing as much shadow and hi-light.
This frames, except, the exterios, are to much proccesed. "Artificial look", name as you want. Still searching a balance. A difficult task.
One more fing, the images with romanic columns have 2 diferent setings. Possible, the most important aspect it using the detail at V7/H5 on resized frame and the other it obios more soft in off. In 1080, i like to go with detail in off.
